On Thursday 3rd April, the whole Y5 cohort of students from our Primary phase and their teachers were invited to ‘walk like an Egyptian’ over to Hampton College secondary phase for an Egyptian themed Y5 Deep Learning Day. Students were given the opportunity to experience life at Hampton College and get a taste of what our secondary phase has to offer. This day was led by our wonderful R.E teacher Mrs Robertson, and supported by Mrs Ficken (English), Ms Hardiman (MFL), Miss Williams (MFL), Mr Copping (Music) and Mrs Plane (Drama)
Year 5 experienced sessions on how to bury an Egyptian Pharoah, mummifying their friends with languages and singing their heart out whilst dancing the Egyptian way.
The whole day was a fabulous experience across all phases of Hampton College and we thank the Year 5s for their exceptional behaviour, attitude and confidence towards the day and our adventures in ancient Egypt.
