On Monday Product design students in Year 12 & 13 went to Linecross in Rutland. They were given a talk about polymers and polymer processes and shown examples of the innovative application of the processes Linecross use. They had also printed a booklet for us about the company and the processes they use. They were then given a facility tour where students got to see large scale vacuum forming and press forming, multi axis CNC cutting of parts after forming and the assembly line. Students got to ask questions, load machines and try various joining methods.
They were also treated to a very nice lunch. Students had a very enjoyable, informative and memorable day.
