Lucy Noyes (Year 12) has had the most amazing achievement from her summer Nuffield Project which was a significant achievement to even be accepted on.
Lucy worked in the Haematology Department at Addenbrookes Hospital (associated in her studies with University of Cambridge) over summer 2017.
She has produced the most fantastic and comprehensive report about the study of ‘Optimising the Staining of Podosome Markers in NIH3T3 and Mouse Megakaryocytes.’
Lucy is due to attend a presentation evening in November to receive formal Certification for her achievements. She had produced some fabulous and well-respected work at the University of Cambridge. Lucy submitted her report to the Crest Organisation and was given a Gold Award. She intends to rely on some of her research for her EPQ studies here at HC.
This is undoubtedly a major achievement for Lucy and we are immensely proud of her.
“She shows good character, sensitivity, notable emotional intelligence, resilience and a determination to plough on to maximise a talent which she clearly has.” Christina Clarke – Sixth Form Assistant
