On Tuesday 17th December, the Sirius house charity team met with our chosen charity, Merrylegs. The team asked lots of questions about the animals and the facilities at Merrylegs and found out how our donations can make difference. Merrylegs are committed to caring for the animals at their facilities and ensuring that they can give them a happy life.
We felt incredibly lucky to meet two furry friends from Merrylegs who the team absolutely loved! As you can see from the pictures, the dogs were super friendly and loving.
We want to thank our students, parents, staff and community for the generous donations of food, toys and bedding. We were able to donate a wonderful hamper to the charity which was gratefully received. We are going to continue a collection of sheets, bedding and animal food so if you have any thing to donate, please send items into school with students to bring to Sirius house base!
Finally, the Sirius house charity team look forward to coming up with lots of ways to raise funds to go towards necessities for Merrylegs. We will keep you posted on what we get up to!
