Into The Woods – Hampton College Auditions

15 June 2026

Lead auditions 17 & 18 June

You will not be auditioning for a specific role.
We want you to perform a short script and song for your audition.

The script and song you perform will give us a good idea about your acting and singing style and help us work out which students will suit each character best.

Auditions are on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 June at 3:10pm in the music department.

You will need to come to both days and stay until you have auditioned

Auditions may run until 5pm each day

At the audition you will get to perform your script and song without any other students in the room
(but you can bring someone with you for support if you want)

What do I need to do?

Pick ONE audition option to learn

It doesn’t matter which one you pick, but if you have a specific role in mind,
you might want to look at which song or scene would best suit that character.

For each audition option you will get:

  1. Script and score This shows you what you need to learn and contains spoken and sung parts
  2. Audition track This is the same recording but with your parts removed. Practice with this once you know the song – this is the version that will be played for you to sing to during your audition
  3. Guide track This is a recording of what your song should sound like – use it to learn and practice only

We would prefer that you learn the song and scene from memory but if you do need to have the
script or sheet music on you, feel free to print it, or have it on your phone during your auditions.

We can’t wait to see your audition! If you have any questions, come and speak to us!
