Students across the area will be applying for Post 16 provision this year through UCAS Progress. This is an excellent online application system which allows students to ‘search’ for courses of interest to them across the area and to be able to compare the offering. Year 11 students can search by course or they can search by provider (school / college). All applications for apprenticeships, college and sixth form across the areas will be made via this system. https://www.ucasprogress.com/search
Students will be given user details, shown how to use the online application tool and get started on it in school. They are then expected to complete their applications at home, taking advice from family. The deadline for completed online applications for Hampton College is 31 December 2016.
External applicants should get their login details from their home school and should select Hampton College when making their course choices.
UCAS Progress also provides a wealth of information on the different options available to students. It explains the different types of qualifications and the different levels of study. https://www.ucas.com/ucas/after-gcses
